Aries Season Tarot Forecast + Journal Prompts

For each week of Aries season, I’ve provided a reading and journal prompts for the Tarot card associated in the Cosmic Energy Report forecast. Listen here to follow along with the tarot and astrology messages for the month!

One of the major patterns that came up was that we had two 9 cards and two ace (1) cards in this reading. In numerology, 2025 is a 9 year, meaning that we are at the end of a major global cycle. Most of us can see pretty clearly how that is playing out. The interesting thing about the 9 year is that we also get a glimpse of the 1 year and the new beginnings we can expect. The cycle is always repeating, so parts of the transition are inevitably going to overlap. Just as we can feel grief when we start something new and exciting, leaving our old life behind, change isn’t linear. I am feeling very hopeful that Aries season is going to being some visible changes on both a collective and personal level.

The solar eclipse in Aries on March 29 and Neptune moving into Aries on March 30 creates a powerful energy for change as we leave March and enter April. I am excited to find out how new cycles and chapters start to show up, loosening the things we need to shake off and release in the process. I hope the journal prompts and weekly readings help you navigate the weeks of this fire season!

Aries Season Weekly Readings and Journal Prompts

King of Wands (March 20-22)

  • “This period embodies the entrepreneur spirit. It's about taking visionary ideas and moving forward with confidence and passion. You're encouraged to harness your creativity and leadership abilities to push through challenges and initiate long-term, sustainable projects.”

The King of Wands is coming in with the energy of someone who trusts that the big picture is inevitable. You don’t need to overanalyze or second guess every step of the plan. You know that there is work to be done, and that doesn’t deter you! I can see how the beginning of this season is going to provide the confidence you need to take the first steps. Make the first sketch. Call someone who has experience. Post your new offering. Record the first episode. Whatever the first small action may be, it has the essence of a successful project that will be both lucrative and sustainable!

As Aries season progresses, stay anchored in the confidence of the King of Wands, knowing that you have what it takes to carry the torch over the finish line, regardless of past bumps in the road - or the opinions of others. Sometimes the things you are certain about in your soul have no basis in logical or linear reasoning. This card comes after the creative journey when you have gained enough experience to be the leader in your life. It may be time to step out from behind someone else’s shadow where you’ve been comfortable supporting their dream. It’s time for you to take all of the gifts, talent, creativity and skills you have and direct them toward your own heart’s desires!

If you can see your current actions are being guided toward an abundant future outcome, that is all that matters! You don’t have to know how they connect right now, so don’t try to explain it to anyone else.

    1. Reflect on a time when your leadership made a positive difference. How can you channel that energy now?

    2. What creative vision have you been hesitant to pursue? What first step could you take today?

    3. How do your passions align with your long-term goals? Where might they need realignment?

    4. Describe a challenge you're facing and how you can approach it with the King of Wands' confidence and authority.

    5. What legacy do you hope to build through your current projects and endeavors?

9 of Swords (March 23 - 29)

  • “This time is about addressing what keeps you up at night. It’s a period of intense self-reflection and healing. You’re encouraged to dig deep, confront your anxieties and long-standing issues, and seek closure to free up space for new, healthy patterns to emerge.”

The 9 of Swords is saying that we are very aware of what needs to be released. Many of you are avoiding a decision or action that will be a big leap for you emotionally, and in your physical reality. There is security and identity attached to this decision, so it is understandable that you are hesitant to take the first step. However, anything that you can’t stop thinking about is in your awareness for a reason.

One thing that keeps coming to mind as I sit with this card again is that often we think something cannot be reversed when that simply isn’t true. I am seeing that some people have the opportunity to accept a new position or to try out some thing new, but letting go of what you’ve built a career on seems like too big of a risk. You know the difference between something that you’re just daydreaming about when doing the most mundane parts of your job and when something occupies all of your waking hours. If your resume is stacked with skills and experience for that field, could you get back into it if your passionate dream doesn’t go as planned?

The 9 of Swords is presenting the essence of the worst case scenario, reminding us that often what we’re imagining isn’t as bad as we think it could be. We’ve all had one of those situations play out and survived - even if it was painful while it played out. You are bringing the fire of the King of Wands in with you this time - a more seasoned and intuitive version of yourself. Trust that you know when you’re ready for something bigger!

    1. What recurring thoughts keep you awake at night? Write them down and explore their root causes.

    2. How have your anxieties shaped your decisions recently? Which fears are rational and which are not?

    3. Describe a worry you've been carrying that you're ready to release. What would life look like without it?

    4. What self-compassion practices could help you navigate this period of intense reflection?

    5. Identify a pattern of negative thinking you'd like to transform. What would a healthier perspective look like?

Ace of Swords (March 30 - April 5)

  • “This signifies a breakthrough, a clear new idea or inspiration that can lead to significant positive changes. After a period of reflection and healing, you now have clarity and the intellectual power to forge ahead with new plans and visions.”

The Ace of Swords is cutting through your fears to reveal a new direction or path forward. This moment of clarity can come in the form of a new perspective, an opportunity, or a creative idea. Stay open to possible downloads and intuitive insights this week and be sure to jot down anything that comes through. Ideas and projects emerging at this time will likely have long-term sustainability, even if there isn’t a lot of movement right away.

Neptune moves into Aries on March 30, bringing in the potential for courageous leadership that could initiate the hero within. The Ace of Swords could bring attention to the unique ways you are meant to teach or share your wisdom as the need for alternative ways of being emerges. I’ve pulled cards for this transit below to expand on how our spiritual, subconscious and creative energy.

The transition from the 9 of Wands back to the Ace is representative of how sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come when we hit rock bottom. Insights that illuminate your way out of a situation can come when you get to the point where you’re willing to try anything. If you’ve been feeling exhausted or taking time to process past situations, take this as a sign that you will find the answers you need to release anything lingering that could be holding you back from real change.

Swords represents the air signs, and this card is like the first warm breeze of spring, awakening dormant curiosity and ideas awaiting the perfect moment to be acted on!

    1. What new clarity or insight has emerged after your period of reflection?

    2. How can you use your intellectual strengths to cut through confusion in your current situation?

    3. What truth have you been avoiding that now needs to be acknowledged?

    4. Describe a new idea or plan that excites you. What makes this the right time to pursue it?

    5. How can you communicate your thoughts and boundaries more clearly in your relationships?

9 of Wands (April 6 - 12)

  • “It’s a period of perseverance. Despite feeling weary, you’re encouraged to keep pushing forward. You have come a long way, and now is not the time to give up. Stay resilient and trust in your ability to overcome the final hurdles.”

The 9 of Wands has shown up in the same place in the reading two months in a row. We are closer than ever to the love, abundance, and recognition that we have been working towards. Perhaps our own fears or echoes of past failures have kept us still when our hearts have been pulling us toward the success we know is possible. Have you been feeling like there’s something good coming, but can’t explain what it is, or how you know? This is a driving force in the energy of Aries season, a building tension that our creative essence is about to break through!

A spark of insight or creativity from the Ace of Wands can fast forward you through inner battles and self doubt if you’re willing ride the wave when it comes! The hardest work will be staying out on the without knowing how long you’ll be waiting for it to roll in. Even if you’re not already on a sturdy ship, you can take a kayak or paddle board out, taking matters into your own hands until a bigger boat comes over the horizon.

The end of this perpetually lackluster cycle is close, so lean into the hope of where the insights you’ve been receiving will take you next. Use the inspiration from last week as a sail and be open to the winds of change choosing your direction!

    1. What challenges have you overcome that remind you of your resilience?

    2. Where in your life are you feeling battle-weary? How can you gather strength for the final push?

    3. What defensive patterns might be necessary now, and which ones are holding you back?

    4. Reflect on your journey so far—what lessons have prepared you for this moment?

    5. How can you balance determination with self-care during this period of perseverance?

Knight of Pentacles (April 13 - 18)

  • “This period is about taking practical, methodical steps towards your goals. It’s a reminder to stay grounded and committed to your path, focusing on consistent effort and patience to build a stable and prosperous future.”

The waiting period that follows the 9 of Wands is an opportunity to focus on the actions that will ensure your projects and creative projects will be sustainable. The Knight of Pentacles is all about protecting the legacy you are building in a proactive way. Waiting for all of the abundance or opportunities to arrive before you start preparing is a recipe for disaster - and the reason your dreams could slip through your fingers. Plan for it all to come in so you can feel confident that you’ll know what to do with it when it does!

It’s often the repetitive and mundane steps that are the most important because they act as the structure for the more visible and beautiful parts of the dream. I have the image of pouring concrete coming forward, reminding us that rebar and a frame for it to be poured into are what make it long-lasting.

Be resourceful, and take stock of your resources. I am feeling like spirit wants us to keep taking action, which can be challenging when it seems like nothing is happening. Challenge yourself to keep finding the next action forward, even if it’s organizing your desk, researching supplies, updating your website, or going to local events to network. There is a sense that complacency is the most dangerous force to engage with because anything you put energy into is likely to stick for awhile. Even the smallest movements have far-reaching results that we just can’t see now. Again, budgets, supplies, contacts, email inboxes - anything that can be sorted or considered a resource - are just as important as the more sparkly parts of the work!

    1. What practical steps can you take today to move closer to your long-term goals?

    2. How can you bring more consistency and reliability to an important project or relationship?

    3. Where might patience and methodical effort serve you better than seeking quick results?

    4. What aspects of your foundation need strengthening before you can move forward?

    5. How can you honor the process rather than focusing solely on outcomes?

Neptune in Aries: March 30

Neptune moves into Aries on March 30, bringing in the potential for courageous leaders to be born, and the discovery of the hero within us all. The cardinal energy of Aries combined with the intuitive, spiritual and creative energy of Neptune could spark a wave of spiritual awakenings in the collective. Anyone who is brave enough to share their wisdom and offer guidance will have more impact than they may expect as the need for that kind of leadership increases.

If you were asked to start a new project or teach a class, what would your unique perspective or creative area of focus be? Imagine that you are the pioneer of your specialty, a combination of the things you could do or talk about for hours. That is what you should direct your energy into! This transit of Neptune in Aries is going to last over a decade, so I am feeling the intention of your “life’s work” being highlighted as we enter this period of fiery initiation for the intuitive and dreamy planet of spirituality.

Now is the time.

For what? For whatever comes to mind when you read that.

Now is the time.

For trying the new art medium.

For writing the book.

For changing to a career you’re passionate about.

For sharing your spiritual work with the world.

For starting the podcast.

For saying yes to love.

For starting a new club or special interest group.

For showing up as a voice in your community.

“The time is now.”

Ace of Wands

  • “The Ace of Wands signals the beginning of a new creative endeavor or passion. This card embodies the fiery, pioneering spirit of Aries and reflects the spark of inspiration and energetic drive that Neptune in Aries brings. It suggests a time to embrace new passions, ideas, and opportunities with enthusiasm and confidence. It also highlights the potential for significant growth and transformation, fueled by creativity and initiative.”

Whatever lights a fire under you or opens your mind to new creative possibilities should be harnessed in this energy. You are the only person who can interpret ideas or inspirations YOUR way. That is not something to take lightly. There is a sense of urgency but also a preciousness that comes with the Ace of Wands for this transit. Protect your creative projects and dreams to ensure they are not altered by outside influences. Though the ace is at the beginning of the journey, it holds all of the possibility. If you don’t treat it with the appreciation for the whole of its potential, you could risk letting it fizzle out.

This transit is a generational shift that will shape our collective future here on earth. Your legacy and imprint can only be created by you, so act with the knowing that it truly matters, and it will have a ripple effect beyond what you can imagine.

    1. What new creative inspiration is forming at the edges of your consciousness?

    2. How might Neptune's dreamy energy combine with Aries' initiative in your life?

    3. What spiritual or intuitive practice would help you channel this new inspirational energy?

    4. Describe a vision or dream that feels newly possible under this astrological influence.

    5. How can you honor both the spark of beginning and the patience needed for manifestation?

4 of Pentacles

  • “The Four of Pentacles represents stability, control, and the need to hold on to security. Positioned with the Ace of Wands, it balances the fiery enthusiasm with a grounding reminder to consider practical steps and maintain a sense of security amidst the excitement. This card suggests that while it's important to pursue new ventures and embrace change, it is equally crucial to build a stable foundation and manage resources wisely to ensure long-term sustainability.”

This card is here to ground the fire energy of the Ace of Wands. The 4 of Pentacles acknowledges that we may feel the need to clutch our coins closer as things around us are changing. However, we are reminded that what we are building now is actually creating a foundation that is more stable than what we have now. You are meant to attract abundance in ways that also fulfill you. Instead of having your essence extracted, it will be received by others as it pours out of you naturally when you are lit up and doing what brings you joy. The pathway to get there may not be linear or direct, but trust that this next era of your life will continue to bring you closer to your wildest dreams!

Don’t fear the opportunities showing up for you. Anything that feels aligned can be trusted, even if it seems to be illogical. Neptune in Aries is awakening the inner courageous hero within us, meaning that we will likely be forging new paths for others to follow. There is nothing about that energy that is meant to feel comfortable and safe, though it is actually bringing us to a more sustainable foundation. What we are learning is that joy is the pathway to stability.

    1. What resources (material, emotional, or spiritual) do you need to protect as you embark on new ventures?

    2. Where is the balance between security and risk-taking in your current situation?

    3. How might holding too tightly to what's familiar be limiting your growth?

    4. What foundations need to be established before you can fully embrace Neptune in Aries' energy?

    5. How can you remain grounded while still opening yourself to spiritual and creative inspiration?

Keep in mind that “journal prompts” can be used for any type of reflection that works for you. Maybe you want to record voice notes, a podcast episode, or talk out loud on a hike!
